ClearMotion Appoints Michael Grannell as Chief Product Officer

ClearMotion, an automotive technology company developing advanced chassis systems, today announced the promotion of Michael Grannell to Chief Product Officer (CPO), with global responsibility for product strategy and delivery.
In his new role, Michael will have global executive responsibility for Advanced Quality, Industrialisation, Product Engineering, Programme Management and Strategic Procurement. His remit brings together the functions responsible for translating customer requirements and technology into commercially viable products, from development through validation and production readiness to customer launch.
The appointment comes at an important stage in ClearMotion’s development as the company continues to industrialise its technology, expand engagement with global automotive manufacturers and build the product platforms required for deployment across multiple customers and vehicle programmes.
Michael has played a significant role in ClearMotion’s industrialisation and growth to date, bringing together extensive operational leadership experience with a strong understanding of customer requirements, product execution and the demands of automotive industrialisation.
Christian Steinmann, CEO of ClearMotion, said:
“Michael has been instrumental in shaping the way we translate the ClearMotion innovative technology, into products that create real value for our customers."
“As ClearMotion continues to scale, product leadership becomes increasingly important. We need to ensure that customer requirements, our technology roadmap, commercial priorities and industrialisation plans remain tightly connected.
“Michael brings the business acumen, product judgement and leadership experience required to do exactly that. His appointment as Chief Product Officer reflects both the contribution, he has already made to ClearMotion and the critical role he will play in the next phase of our growth.”
As Chief Product Officer, Michael will coordinate product strategy and delivery across ClearMotion’s teams in the US, UK and China. Working with engineering, commercial, manufacturing and leadership teams, he will drive the company’s product roadmap from product development through validation and industrialisation to successful customer launches.
His remit will include ensuring that product decisions are informed by both long-term technology strategy and the evolving needs of automotive OEMs, while maintaining a strong focus on scalability, manufacturability and commercial value.
Michael Grannell said:
“I’m proud of the role I’ve played in bringing ClearMotion’s technology into production, and of the teams who have made that possible. As Chief Product Officer, my priority is to build on that progress and ensure our products meet our customers’ expectations for performance, cost and reliable delivery.
“Working across our teams in the US, UK and China, I will focus on connecting product development with the practical demands of industrialisation. Our success will be measured by how effectively we turn our technology into products that customers can confidently bring to market.”
The appointment reinforces ClearMotion’s focus on building the leadership capability required to support long-term commercial growth and successful global deployment of its technology.
