ClearMotion replaces a car's shock absorbers with powerful, fast-acting software and actuators that pull/push each wheel, delivering an experience like no other.
In 2009, we began designing a means by which we could capture wasted energy from uneven roads. In 2012, it became clear that erasing unevenness altogether was necessary – and so began the journey of creating the fastest, most advanced proactive ride system in the world.
By 2017, ClearMotion emerged with a product for cars, SUVs and pickup trucks – partnering with Bridgestone, Qualcomm, and a host of auto suppliers to introduce the technology into production vehicles. The company acquired the the Bose Ride business, Project Sound active suspension, and other predictive road-sensing software from Bose, incorporating 40 years of pioneering active suspension research, along with a new product line of fully active seats for robo-taxis, Class-8 trucks and off-highway commercial vehicles.
